Every website needs monthly maintenance. A lot of people don’t understand that. Running updates, troubleshooting, checking links, etc. There is a very good chance that if you haven’t ran an update on your site in 6 months, that one of your plugins will not run properly. If one of your plugins doesn’t run properly, then customers won’t have a way to contact you through your site.
I charge a small monthly fee after I have created all of my sites to perform monthly maintenance on them. Now, you have the option to do it yourself, but if there is something that you don’t understand or screws up your website after an update because you didn’t run backups, then you are on your own.
